We are an accredited provider of the government’s Office of Hearing Services program, and provide full private services, paediatric services and services to ENT Specialists.
Ben is co-owner of Bellarine Hearing as well as Surf Coast Hearing Clinic in Torquay. He has over 15 years of experience offering hearing services. He has worked in private clinics, hospital departments and for government funded providers, both in Australia and overseas. Ben also has post-graduate qualifications in Secondary Education, with a strong background in paediatric hearing assessment as well as hearing aid fitting for all ages. Ben has particular interest in hearing loss pathologies and in new hearing device technologies.
Kate is co-owner of Bellarine Hearing as well as Surf Coast Hearing Clinic in Torquay. She has over 15 years of experience as an Audiologist. She has worked for government funded providers and in hospital departments, both in Australia and overseas. Her clinical skills are focussed on complex adult assessment and rehabilitation and she has particular knowledge in vestibular function and assessment.
Geraldine established Bellarine Hearing in 1992 after working for 16 years in Melbourne, first at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital, and then at the National Acoustic Laboratories (now Australian Hearing). She graduated from Melbourne University in 1976, having completed a Bachelor of Science followed by the Audiology Diploma. In 2008 she completed her Doctor of Audiology from Salus University (Philadelphia) by distance learning. Geraldine enjoys the challenge of achieving a good hearing aid outcome for people with unusual hearing loss configurations. Geraldine has now retired to spend some more time with her grandchildren. She will be doing occasional clinical work.
Catherine completed her diploma in Audiology in 1990 following a science degree at Melbourne University. Catherine has worked at Bellarine Hearing for over a decade and enjoys the variety of audiological work the clinic offers. Her interest in Tinnitus management began after working at Western Hearing Services in Western Australia in the 1990s. On returning to Victoria she was able to train as a Tinnitus Specialist at Hearservice (Vic Deaf) and over the last 15 years she has continued to expand her interest and expertise in this area of audiology.
Rod has been working with Bellarine Hearing since 2006. He spent the previous 15 years with Australian Hearing in both Western Australia and Geelong including long-term positions as Adult and Paediatric Specialist as well as remote Aboriginal community work. Together with Catherine he spent a number of years providing the regional Community Health Audiology service for Bunbury in the south-west of WA while at the same time helping to establish and subsequently manage the Bunbury Australian Hearing clinic. Rod completed his diploma in Audiology from Melbourne University in 1990, having obtained his Science degree majoring in Physiology and Microbiology. Rod has a keen interest in the social and emotional impact of hearing loss and motivational factors relating to hearing aid usage; he also specialises in providing testing for children requiring Auditory Processing assessment.
Simone qualified as is an Audiologist in 1997 and has over 20 years’ experience working within the Geelong community in the Hospital setting, specialising in paediatric and diagnostic audiology. She brings speciality skills of testing children with complex needs. Simone joined the Bellarine Hearing team in 2018 and has enjoyed expanding her skills to include adult rehabilitation and hearing aid fitting.
Sarah graduated in 2011 after studying both speech pathology and audiology. She has over 12 years experience as an audiologist in private practice. Her special interests are hearing rehabilitation for all ages and the assessment of children. Although a cliche, she is happy to say she particularly enjoys the relationships she develops with clients on their hearing rehabilitation journey as well as finding solutions for people with unusual hearing rehabilitation needs.
India graduated in 2022 from the University of Melbourne. She is our newest Audiologist. She enjoys the diversity of working at Bellarine Hearing and is comfortable dealing with the hearing needs of both adults and children.
Karen has been at Bellarine Hearing since 2001 and is a familiar face to many clients. She's an expert with hearing aid repairs and can readily solve the most common hearing aid issues onsite. She keeps the clinic running smoothly on a daily basis.
Heather has been at Bellarine Hearing since 2007. She's always ready to greet our clients at the counter and has years of experience in dealing with hearing-related enquiries and onsite repairs of hearing aids.
Trish joined Bellarine Hearing in 2022. Her professionalism and work ethic has made her an integral part of the team.
Narelle joined Bellarine Hearing in 2023. Her bubbly personality has been a welcome addition to our admin team.
